Route Advice: PDX to Forrest Grove

There are some great roads out in that area. Both of these routes are flat.
The second option is a couple miles shorter than the first. I know some
roads are being ship sealed but what I've ridden on recently has been easily
rideable. The gravel has been pushed aside by traffic.
Both routes start at West Union and Cornelius Pass Rd. If you want to add
some mileage and climbing let me know, I can send you a couple other routes.

Avoid Hwy 47 N of Purdin/Verbort Rd, fairly high traffic and no shoulder.
Otherwise, the roads are really good, pretty easy to string something
together.

Hello OBRA-ites.

I'm planning to meet some shorter-riding freinds in Forest Grove Saturday and was thinking to ride out from PDX and meet them. Simple plotting shows it pretty easy to go up Cornell/Thompson, out West Union all the way to North Plains, and then south from there to Forest Grove.

Is there a better route I'm missing? Any roads to avoid? I'm not that familiar with the riding in that area.

Advice appreciated, thanks.
