OBRA Hill Climb Championships - COMING THIS WEEKEND

This is the final week to register for the OBRA Hillclimb Championship race.
More race information is available at http://www.bbcbike.com. Online
registration is fast and easy, and race entry fee is $15.

I've gotten a lot of email questions (which I will reply shortly), most
asking the same thing:

Q) How long is the course? Elevation gain?
A) 5.6 miles, 2500 feet of climbing

Q) What gears should I ride?
A) Normal gearing is fine. This isn't a super steep hill climb. 39x25 is
okay. 39x27 is better. 34x27 is probably overdoing it for the normal bike
racer folks.

Q) Where exactly is the route/starting line/etc?
A) The start is just above Government camp. The finish line is at the lower
lodge of Timberline lodge. There is a map posted at http://www.bbcbike.com

Q) Where is the start list?
A) Start lists will be posted at http://www.bbcbike.com. They will be
preliminary, meaning they will change, until marked as final.

Q) Can I start AFTER so-and so in the start list?
A) Racers are started in reverse order of registration date. So the
earlier you register, the more people in front of you in your category.

Q) When is the last day I can register?
A) Online registration will close Friday night, maybe early Saturday
morning.

Thanks,
Erik
