- Answer Hyperlite riser bar. 2" rise, quite heavy at 400+ grams, but =
strong and stiff as a motorcycle bar. Does not bulge where the stem =
clamps, but rather utilizes a shim (like the Bontrager CrowBar). The =
bar is therefore stronger because it has not been flared out and made =
thinner, and also it can be used with any BMX stem by dispensing with =
the shim. Bar has been used for a year, but the metal is so thick that =
it could go another 15 or 20. $20.
- Syncros stem. 110 mm, 5 degree rise. Features non-protruding single =
sterer tube clamp bolt and very wide bar clamp for extra stiffness. =
Race light, vintage componentry. Installed on a steerer tube once, =
never had a handlebar in it, never ridden. $30.
