KRANKED 8: REVOLVE
McMenamins Old St. Francis School Movie Theater
Bend, Oregon
9:00 p.m. | $5 per person | 21 & over
WebCyclery brings you the brand-spankin-new, Kranked 8: Revolve - a showcase of cinematic mountain bike riding from the French Alps to the lush, green forests of British Columbia. Revolve incorporates Dirt Jumping, Trail, Freeride, Slopestyle and Downhill segments - among others.
Number eight in the high-octane Kranked film series, Revolve is a high definition tribute to the modern mountain bike and a look at the riders who push these bicycles to their limits. Shot on location in France, Switzerland, Germany, South Africa, Italy, Canada and the USA.
Featuring riding by Jamie Goldman, Lance McDermott, Sam Pilgrim, Steve Romaniuk, James Doerfling, Rene Wildhaber, Garett Buehler, Mike Kinrade, Blind Bobby (McMullen), Sam Hill, Brendan Fairclough, and the coastal crew.
Kevin Gorman, a film critic known for his thumbs-up and thumbs-down reviews with his brother and fellow critic, Mean Todd, has praised Kranked 8 and heralded it as "The sweetest Kranked movie ever!" Mean Todd continued the accolades and added, "As long as you're going to be at McMenamins drinking a beer, you might was well be watching Kranked 8 at the same time."
While WebCyclery Movie Night at McMenamins is a monthly fund raiser for Central Oregon Trail Alliance (cotamtb.com), it is mostly an excuse to get together with a theater full of like-minded cyclists to watch kick-ass bicycle movies, drink a beer, raise some money for local trails, and maybe win a cool door prize.
