Burley Design Recalls Child Trailers Due to Risk of Injury

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in
cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using
recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Products: 2009 d'lite ST and Solo ST Child Trailers

Units: About 2,700

Manufacturer: Burley Design LLC, of Eugene, Ore.

Hazard: The axle assembly's internal sleeve can loosen, causing one
wheel to separate from the trailer. This poses a risk of injury to the
child occupant or bike rider.

Incidents/Injuries: No incidents or injuries have been reported.

Description: The recalled products are two-wheeled child trailers
designed to carry one or two children behind a bicycle. Only the 2009
d'lite ST and 2009 Solo ST trailers with serial numbers that begin with
D939 or D948 are included in the recall. The serial number is located in
the rear cargo area behind the seat on the lower left rear frame tube.
The trailers have "d'lite ST" or "solo ST" screen printed on the cover.

Sold by: Independent bicycle retailers and specialty outdoor retailers
nationwide and on various web sites from November 2008 through June 2009
for between $550 and $600.

Manufactured in: Philippines

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the trailer immediately and contact
Burley to receive a free repair kit or to locate a retailer to assist
with the free repair.

Felt Bicycles Recalls Cyclocross Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in
cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using
recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross Bicycles

Units: About 1,500

Importer: Felt Bicycles, of Irving, Calif.

Manufacturer: Aprebic/EVO Industry Co. Ltd., of Taiwan

Hazard: The bicycle's fork steerer tube can break, causing the rider to
lose control and fall, posing a risk of injury.

Incidents/Injuries: Felt Bicycles has received six reports of the
bicycle forks breaking, including two reports of minor cuts and scrapes.

Description: The recall includes all 2007/2008 Felt F1X Cyclocross
Bicycles. These bicycles are available in semimatte black and have
aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks with aluminum steerer tubes.

Sold by: Bicycle specialty stores nationwide from July 2006 through
April 2009 for between $1,400 and $1,500.

Manufactured in: Taiwan

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles
and contact a local Felt Bicycles dealer to receive a free inspection
and repair.

Bicycles Recalled by Nirve Sports; Stem Failure Poses Fall Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in
cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using
recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

Name of Product: Cannibal Bicycles

Units: About 120

Importer: Nirve Sports Ltd., of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Hazard: The bicycle stem can crack and cause the rider to lose control,
posing a risk of serious injury if the rider falls.

Incidents/Injuries: Nirve Sports has received two reports of cracked
stems. In both cases, the cracks occurred during assembly of the
bicycle. No injuries have been reported.

Description: This recall involves Cannibal "Chopper" model bicycles with
graphic designs by artist Corey Miller. The bicycles have a black matte
finish. The affected bicycles have a serial number within the following
range: L8E0300001 - L8E1001050. Serial numbers are located on the bottom
of the bicycle between the pedals.

Sold by: Nirve Sports and authorized dealers nationwide from December
2008 through April 2009 for about $600.

Manufactured in: China

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop riding the bicycles and return
them to the place of purchase for free repair.
