Path detours begin in Alton Baker Park
Contractors for the Oregon Department of Transportation will begin
using a portion of Alton Baker Park to access the construction site
for the Interstate 5 Willamette River Bridge on Thursday, Aug. 20.
Crews will close north Walnut Road through the park to use it as a
main access route and will provide detours around the perimeter of the
park for the duration of the project. They will also close the paths
along Canoe Canal at the easternmost end of the park for approximately
three weeks.
Kiosks throughout the park display maps of the detours. For more
