Nicholas Baker
Hello everyone!
I have come into a bit of a financial bind and need to sell my beloved
2008 Raleigh One-Way bicycle. It's a steel (reynolds 5051) framed cross
bike with track drop outs perfect for single-speed and fixed gear riding!
I'm currently in Eugene but frequently stay in Portland for long periods
of time. Either of those cities are great for me. Anywhere along 205/i5
could possibly be worked out as well.
It's officially a 55cm, but feels a bit bigger. Top tube length is 56cm
and stand over is about 55cm.
Frame set : standard raleigh 2008 one-way frameset (check raleigh
website for more details). Used and showing it here and there, only one
dent but structurally sound (shop checked) and straight as an arrow!
Crank: Campagnolo!!! Mirage crank with 45t rocket chainring (I'll also
throw in a 50t campagnolo chainring).
Brakes: Cantilever brakes with tektro brake levers/hoods.
Saddle: Red San Marco Racing saddle
Seatpost: Ritchey Comp
Pedals: Wellgo track pedals (perfect for tricks, cruising or add cages
and use them on the track). I used clipless pedals with this bike, so
these are all I had.
Wheels: Rear: Formula fixed/fixed hub with a 15t , 16, or 17t cog on it
with a dura-ace lockring laced with DT Comp spokes to a mavic CXP 10 rim
(strong and great wheel). Cool thing about having a fixed/fixed hub is
that you can use a fixed gear cog safely (lockring threading on both
sides) or use it for freewheels as they screw on both fixed gear and
single speed threading, so you could use the hub as a flip-flop too,
I've done it.
FRONT: wheel is a nice, bladed spoke radially laced Ritchey aero wheel
(totally pimp wheel, that I don't really want to see go, but have to).
Tires: ROAD: Front - Vittoria Diamante Light Pro folding tire / rear :
well used continental gatorskin (and I'll throw in a shitty specialized
Amardillo tire which would be perfect to skid through). CROSS: Vittoria
Randonneur Cross tires (rear is well pretty much worn out, but has some
life left (these tires are perfect for Oregon Fall/Winter commuting
because of the rain/snow, I know, I used them to ride through the
snow/rain last year), also I'll throw in a red IRD cross tire folding
tire because the one randonneur is fairly worn. .
Bike comes complete and with a set of road tires and three cross tires.
Back brake is not hooked up, but will include everything to get it
hooked up and show/tell you how to do so if you need. 2 sets of drop
bars will be included, the stock 44cm with ergo drops and the 38cm
japanese bars I put on there to maneuver better through heavy traffic
when I was living in downtown Portland.
I've had this bike since October of last year, am the original owner,
bought it from Paul's bikes in Eugene, took good care of it, making sure
to grease/lube (phil wood grease) everything, BB, Headset and Rear wheel
were recently serviced and used it for lots of different things:
Single-speed cyclocross (it's a SS cross bike with track ends (drop outs))
Fixed Gear/SS touring: cross frames are comfortable and this bike has
lots of braze ons. Two water bottle cages can be used (one is included)
and it has rear rack mounts!
SS/Fixed gear commuting: Track bikes are uncomfortable because of the
really aggressive geometry and conversions are dangerous because of the
fact you could get pedal strick at any time. Why not have a purposely
designed cross bike which mixes aggressive geometry with a raised bottom
bracket shell for the ultimate in fixed gear/ss urban riding. This bike
is sleek.
I'll throw in a set of bullhorns for $15 and install them for you.
$375 obo.

more/specific pictures, I can send them too!
