In the past, the Pro/Elite have been considered equivalent with the
Pro/1/2 on the road side, and have been combined.
Since the Pro and Elite (along with the Senior/Open Expert Men) all race
the same course, and everybody supposedly gets a time, it is easy enough
to re-sort the results after the race if the promoter chooses to
separate them for awards (as was done at Mudslinger).
Normally, the Pro and Elite are combined for results AND for BAR.
I will post an updated document outlining this. The current doc is at:

I did it that way because that was how Big K scored them. Then
Mudslinger has them separate so what I did was give the separate
categories full points each but linked them together. I will try and has
it out with Jim Fischer what the fairest way to do it is

If the BAR for Pro and Elite are grouped together, then promoter of the
Mudslinger messed up by separating the Pro's and the Elites because
essentially double points will be awarded to the top finishers for both
the Pro and the Elites. For example both Troy Tucker (Elite) and Carl
Decker (Pro) were awarded 30 points for the Win(s).
Alternatively, OBRA could decide to award BAR points solely based on
time. However, I think that is incredibly unfair since the two groups
did not have the benefit of racing together.
(Candi, please note I am coping you here becuase I think you may have an
issue)

Brig raced the Mudslinger Pro race and hence his results and points were

some confusion as to which race to classify his results becuase he wanted to be
classified as a NORBA Elite and a OBRA Pro. In the end the promoter decided to
put his results in the OBRA Pro category because that is who he raced with.
