Need BB extraction help

if the axle permits, try putting a quick release skewer through to hold the
tool tight against those splines. Crank it on real tight and you might get
enough bite to remove it. Make sure you turn in the right way, too!

I was trying to remove a bottom bracket from my road bike just now,
and the aluminum cup decided to self destruct instead of come out.
It's a FSA ISIS aluminum cup that is very soft. The special tool
deformed and rounded off the detents. A big, fat flathead screwdriver
backed by a mallet just creates a deepening groove. Pipe wrench:
nada.

I need an expert in the Portland area who has experience removing
recalcitrant BB cups without ruining the frame. Any references would
be greatly appreciated.
