I recommend a filter to send such postings to a separate folder such as:

Subject contains "[OBRA Chat]" AND Subject contains "Spoiler"
Move message to folder "OBRA Spoilers"

Then just don't look in that folder. Pretty simple and low stress. Going one
step further you could even set the action to "Delete Message" and live in
blissful ignorance that anyone even mentioned the word spoiler - all without
missing any of the vitally important For Sale messages.

Just by looking at the subject line I now assume something very bad or very
good happened to Horner. I'm watching it right now on Universal.

PLEASE NEVER MENTION WHAT HAPPENS IN A RACE ON THE DAY OF THE RACE ON OBRA
CHAT WHEN THEY ARE SHOWING IT ON DELAY TV.

Even if you say "spoiler"........because now you just spoiled it for me

Sounds good to me. I guess everyone solved their problems in their own manner. Or were there problems? I should have said nothing since I did not see it as a problem. It does seem Horner had the problem. He has had some bad breaks this year. Rick seems to have a pretty full proof idea (filters). However, people are going to post stuff when they are excited about sharing their knowledge (or in my case lack thereof), ideas or needs, so I am sure someone will post a spoiler again. Groundhog day!
Have fun out there riding your bikes. We are one day closer to Cross season.

First off, the problem was the guy that had "Horner" in the subject line and then all the "Spoiler" emails. Putting "spoiler" in the subject line is great and is all that is needed, it was the "Horner" e mail that I then deduced that Horner was involved in the spoiler.............BTW: I did not open any of the e mails.

Oh, and asking people not to look at e mails is not reasonable, I would rather be subjected to the "Chinese water torture test"

agreed, after all, what jackass was it that reported that Horner crashed out of the Giro?  Oh, yeah, that was me.  Contrary to what my wife thinks, I do learn from past mistakes............'

We should be thankful we have trained the masses to say spoiler in the subject line. If we push it too far we may lose cooperation altogether.
I think it's a good middle ground.
