Only 1 woman (Sandy Earl) has done the 24 hour event in the 5 year
history of ROFTT. This year SIX of us are signed up for the 24, while
another 6 women are signed up for the 12 hour event. I think this is an
incredible turnout, and would love to see even more women come out and
join us. http://www.raceacrossoregon.com/roftt_teams/ New for
2009, there's a 6 hour TT as well, so there's lots of options for the
person looking to give Ultra TTs a try.
As an added bonus, the course is absolutely stunning. Challenging?
Heck yeah (bring your climbing legs!), but worth every mile.

Hope to see you out there next weekend!
(Incidentally, I'm not affiliated with the organizers either. But I
*have* done ROFTT 12hr once before, and have crewed for RAO 3 times.
Both are great events!)

Subject: [OBRA Chat] RIng of Fire TT next weekend
Hey is everyone aware of this upcoming race? I am not affilitated
with the organizers other than as a friend and prior competator in other
events they've done. I'm posting this on my own because I enjoyed this
same event (did the 12hr Ultra TT) last fall and am going again next
weekend..
Put some of that hard-earned form to test on a really great bunch of
roads. Get in a final extra tough race before the monsoons hit..It's
usually nice around east of Mt. Hood this time of year..
