Hutch's Bear Spring Trap

Cross Country Event

Sunday, April 28, 2002



Register: Mail to PO Box 320 Government Camp, OR 97028-0320, or

Register at the race site: at McCubbins Gulch @ 8:30 am.



Start Time: Pro/Exp.10:45 am, Sports 11:15 am, Beginners 11:30 am



Course: Single lap format for all classes. Traditional Paul Thomasberg

design in rolling terrain starting with motorcycle trails, continuing on

with very pristine single tracks. All types of surfaces and trail

conditions for Pro/Expert (30+ miles). Sport uses shortened expert

course (20 miles). Beginner loop mostly on motorcycle trails (10 miles).

Free Shimano kids race.



Directions:



     * From Portland ? 52 miles to Ski Bowl (maps will be provided and

hung on Ski School?s door in the parking lot of Ski Bowl. Continue 19

miles on Hwy. 26 East, turn left onto Hwy 216 to Maupin, follow for 4.5

miles past Bear Springs Ranger Station, turn left onto road 2110, follow

to McCubbins Gulch Campground overflow area. Registration/Start/Finish.



     * From Bend ? Take Hwy 97 to Hwy 26 West through Madras/Warm

Springs, then turn right onto Hwy 216 to Maupin, then follow directions

from above.
