Waaay off topic...
My wife and I are looking for part time in (our) home childcare for our 2 kids (8 y/o daughter, 6 y/o son). The nanny we've had for the last year decided to go off to become a dentist so we are now looking for a responsible teen or college student, etc.
If it works out, we'd love to have someone that would be willing to work through out the school year and through next summer.
The details:
- Schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3 - 6). Typically 3 -5:30.
- A typical day would be school pickup (3:00 at Sabin Elementary School), playing on the playground, walking to the house (1/2 block away), eating snacks, playing, helping with homework if applicable, and general superising them for the next couple of hours.
- on Thursday, the kids have soccer at 5:00, so a car would be helpful, though the location (Grant HS field) is relatively close so the bus or riding bikes with the kids might work. We would meet you there and you could be on your merry way.
- We live in inner NE Portland near 15th and Fremont.
- fee to be discussed. $10 -12 per hour is what we are thinking though. We'll pay you for a minimum of 3 hours per day (9 hours per week) and longer if there were rare days that you stayed longer than 6. We'd also pay for miles to soccer or other driving activities.
If it matters, both kids love riding bikes and have done a couple of Short Track MTB races. I'm hoping to get them to do some cross races this fall as well.
If you know anyone that would be interested, let me know, either by email or phone.
thanks,
