Plans are coming together for another fantastic weekend of racing in Hood River. The long term weather report suggests sunny skies and 75 degrees. Fruit harvest is happening in earnest now and many of the fabulous businesses along the Fruit Loop drive have donated prizes. We will be giving away baskets of Hood River produced items, such as pears from McCurdy Farms, brownies from Blissful Brownies, cookies from Packer's Cookie Stop, coffee from 10 Speed Coffee, gear from Da Kine, jams and jellies and so much more. We will have fresh coffee for sale at both venues and Cyclo-sportif will be serving waffles on Sunday.
Our event will overlap with the Hood River Pear Celebration and I encourage you to bring your family out and visit the valley. Hey, your race is only 45 minutes long anyway; why don't you do something to make them happy? Rasmussen Farms (www.rasmussenfarms.com) will be previewing their pumpkin patch and corn maze, and many of the orchards, fruit stands, and wineries along the Fruit Loop (www.hoodriverfruitloop.com) will be hosting special events. Remember you can camp at the fairgrounds ($10 tent/$15 RV).
