About 2 years ago, an OBRA post led me to the most awesome volunteer job ever. Thursday night bike rides with kids at the Boys and Girls Club in Sellwood with Joe Marek (fellow OBRA-ite). It is a short weekly time commitment (5:30 - 7:30 p.m.) I am looking for someone to share with me, since I am traveling a bunch for racing and do not want to leave Joe alone or have to limit the amount of kids that ride. And we can always use more help.
You would have to be dependable and commit to the school year. There will be some flexibility, because when I am here, you would not need to be, but would be more than welcomed. It is a great way to get kids excited about the thing we love to do: ride bikes!
