The Blind Date at the Dairy Wednesday night Alpenrose cyclocross series
starts this Wednesday, 9/23/09. The schedule and details are on our
Blind Date website at: www.crossseries.com
. Several important updates and
reminders:

1. Registration: To take advantage of the computer connections, we
have moved registration to the Velodrome Registration booth alongside
the track at Alpenrose. Please approach with care as you will need to
cross the course to register. To save time, please remember to
download, fill out and sign your OBRA release in advance - and remember
to bring it with you! We have no pre-registration, but you can sign up
for the four race series on night one for $60 - or pay $15 each night
($8 for juniors & kiddie cross is free).

2. Pit Area: The pit will be just east of the Alpenrose bathrooms
on the sidewalk in between the start and finish lines

3. Photographers: You're all welcome to take pictures for fun or
profit, but please - no flashes at night. We don't want the flashes to
blind our racers and cause crashes. Feel free to take video and send
them to us to link on our website.

4. Bike Lights: The course will be fairly lit and lights are not
be necessary. Reminder: to avoid blinding riders and causing crashes,
no helmet lights are allowed and handlebar lights must point down at
least 45 degrees. If you want a Gucci ride, you can see how 900 Lumens
of blazing white LED light can chase away the shadows. Light On! will
have five demo lights available for use on race nights. To reserve a
demo light, contact brian@lightonlights.com


5. Prizes: Overall series podium placers in each category will
receive prizes. Elite men and women winners (Cat A) will receive weekly
payouts. Watch for our Blind Date Blog to appear on our
www.crossseries.com website with updates.
