Great racing, thanks!

While riding through the parked cars in the big field after the B race I found a couple of beer bottles in the grass. Don't ruin this venue by being irresponsible. What would we all do if we lost the chance to race at Alpenrose?!?

first off, thank you. alpenrose, obra, volunteers, sponsors, and racers. without a top notch performance from each of you, i probably would have been doing something way less rad on wednesday, like my homework. while there where many details to be improved upon, our first night out was a huge success. the amazing turnout proved that joe and i weren't the only folks that wanted to see a midweek cross race happen in portland, but it admittedly caught us a bit off guard. some changes for next week include: more staff for registration and course marshaling, eight more 500 watt lights, some course massage, a full length A race, and hopefully a little rain. a couple things to remember when next week rolls around:

please do not enter the manicured fields, they are strictly off limits. this includes the baseball diamonds and fenced areas, which will have adequate signage next week.

the dairy has a strict NO ALCOHOL on the premises policy. while this has thus far been respected, it's important enough to reiterate.

we are in a residential area, and too much noise could pull the plug on our party instantly. once the sun goes down lets keep the hollers mellow.

again, a huge thanks to everyone for making this event so much fun. we've gotten tons of spirited feedback and can't wait until next week!
