Just a quick update. Barlow Preregistration closes Saturday at 8pm. If you fall in love with cross at Ninkrossi, jump online and sign up for a great classic course. As an added bonus, our race will take the top ten finishers in each category and apply points towards the Cross Crusade call ups. The weather is looking perfect. See you there!
Wonderful race despite my 5 five minute self inflicted mechanical meltdown.
I wanted to take the opportunity to apologize to one of the racers in the womens' race. On the hill before the end of the forest, I miscommunicated with my 7 year old and she dashed across the course a split second too early and brought down a racer. My daughter took a bit of a tumble.
The first words out of the racer's mouth were 'Is she OK?!"
I am happy to report that other than a slight scrape on her knee and a big lump on her ego, she is just fine.
I don't know who you are, but thank you for caring more about my daughter's welfare than the race. I sincerely apologize for not being more careful with her on the course. I hope that you and your bike are unscathed and that you finished well. On that course, extra obstacles were certainly unnecessary.
