Hi folks,
Sheila Taormina, the only athlete to compete in three different sports (swimming, triathlon, and modern pentathlon) in the Olympics, is coming to Portland in mid-October to put on clinics for local athletes. She will be bringing eight bike racks made out of bamboo that she built upon retirement from competition, when she thought she was going into the race production business.
As she didn't end up in that line of work, she would like to sell the racks. I suggested that perhaps a bike club or team could use them, maybe as a place to put your bikes during the cyclocross season. They are each 6' long, with a 3" diameter on the top tube. She is asking $100 for each rack section.
Contact her directly if interested: sheila.taormina@gmail.com.
kind regards,
Jeff
