CX seatpost suggestions

I want to say thank you to everyone who responded yesterday regarding my
inquiry into a new seatpost for CX. The verdict is that I will stay with my
Thompson post. Some of the advice offered was:

. Switch to a carbon or Ti frame

. Lower air pressure in tires

. Don't actually sit on the saddle in bumpy sections, but let my
legs and arms absorb the impacts

. Try a narrower post with a shim (this will be more flexible)

. Thudbuster seatposts

. Bike fit/ massage/ yoga/ chiropractor adjustments

. Switch to tubular

All are great suggestions and I certainly will be taking advantage of quite
a few of them.

Again, thank you to everyone who responded.

See you out there.

Hi Everyone,

Question for you: what seatpost would you recommend for cx?
Please keep in mind the following: I weigh 200lbs, ride a stiff aluminum frame (carbon fork), running tubeless wheels, and have a plush comfortable seat. My back gets really beat up on the bumpy stuff. My current seatpost is a Thompson elite in a size 31.6 (or whatever the big size is).
I would think Ti would be my best bet and carbon scares me a bit due to my weight.
Any thoughts? Please reply off list.
Thanks.
