I gotta say one thing in their defense. Which is that if you're REALLY old (or really slow???) , I guess you get special service. After trying to make my card work several times about 6 am this morning, I got a personal email from Dirk Crowley, Sports Baseline's CEO, instructing me how to get it to take my card. And indeed it did work after that. I guess he had drafted himself to be the tech support guy under the circumstances. I respect that.

Ok, I think I just figured out what I was doing wrong, which may help out a few others....

Make sure you have filled out your profile on sportsbaseonline with your USAC license number (you DO need one for the masters cats) before you answer "no" to the UCI license question. I was getting the same error message below until I entered my USAC license in my profile hit save. This profile is in the sportbaseonline site and you can access it in the upper right hand corner of the main page. For what it is worth, I did not fill out any category information or my OBRA info either (which it allows you to do as well).

I spoke to a gentlemen who also told me to update my profile with my USAC
number before checking out. This got me further, but I am still stymied at
the point where their system checks with USAC

He also told me to put N/A for the UCI license query

I don't know if it matters, but regarding the "Your UCI License
USA/Year/Month/Day" part, that's your UCI code thingy. If you have a USCA
license, log in to your account at http://usacycling.org/. You'll see your
UCI code listed there along with your other info.

I just got off the phone. The gentleman was helpful, but said that since I
had just renewed my license last night and mine had expired, I needed to
wait for USAC to update their DB and sync it with SBO. My license was issued
in 1996 and the number was funky.

He was going to call them and ask them to do this.

I get to this same point. It asks for "Your UCI License USA/Year/Month/Day"

I put in my license number that I purchased a few days ago, but what is the Year/Month/Day that it asks for? The license expiration, date of birth, date I signed up....?

Regardless, then I get a similar message: "We
are not currently able to process your request. We have been
automatically notified of this issue and are working to resolve it.
Please check back soon. Thank you."

This is ridiculous...

Seems pretty inconsistent as to whom is registering. I have been trying all
morning and get stymied at the point of answering the questions about UCI
licenses. I've tried all possible answers on 3 different computers using 3
different browsers assuming it might be a browser sort of thing and still
getting the "not currently able to process your request" error

I get all the way in to the point of registering for the B Races, but it
won't let me select a specifc category, instead I see this message:
"This event is not yet accepting online registration please check back
after Oct 12, 2009"

Any thoughts/suggestions ? Has anyone else been able to register ?

I'm using the following link that Tom V sent to Candi, is this correct ?
