Many you probably have received a letter from Sportsbaseonline
apologizing for the recent registration problems. If you go online to
USA cycling they also have apologized. I have a question though. On
the USA cycling Web page they state
After the first row, start order will be determined by category and
time of registration, beginning with all cyclo-cross category 1’s,
then 2’s then 3’s, the 4’s. Within each category, placement will be by
time of registration. Riders who upgrade from their time of
registration will not be moved.
In there apology they state
USA Cycling would like to emphasize that all masters racers regardless
of time of registration will be ordered according to their current
racing license category, ie. Cat. 1, followed by Cat. 2, etc. Only
those Masters within the same category and age division will be seeded
according to time of registration. Please click here for a complete

I have written USA cycling to clarify this but maybe some smart person
out there already knows the answer.

PS if the second statement is true I would encourage all of you who
have registered to upgrade. It is quite easy to do on the USA cycling
website. I went from a master 60 cat 3 to a cat 1 without any
questions.
