Tired of Euro-trash road races?
Don't know what an echelon is?
Sick of seeing waif-like super-freaks ride away from
you on 74,000 vertical foot "rollers?"
Do long, straight, courses make your head spin?
Crit season kicks off this Sunday with the Lake Oswego
Mother's Day Criterium.
It will be fast, fun, and a completely new downtown
course.
Highlights:
1. Any Women's race that fields more than 20
participants will have a Specialized frame for the
winner.
2. Any Junior race that fields more than 20 riders in
a given age group (either 10-14 OR 15-18) will have a
Specialized frame for the winner.
3. All Junior and Kids racers will leave with Ice
Cream Cones from Tillamook Ice Creamery.
4. It's a Trek/Volkswagen OREGON CUP race for the
Senior Men/Women.
5. Torani Syrups is providing primes for the Category
3 Men and Masters...For all you Coffee Freaks out
there!
6. Clif Bar is providing product for all registrants
as well as primes.
7. Cash and Grocery Gift Certificates (to Wizer's
Grocery) for prizes.
8. The fantastic announcing of Splinter Wren.
9. A Mom's Race for "our greatest supporters" with
"Special Prizes"
10. Did I mention it's the FIRST CRIT OF THE
SEASON...Consider it a fantastic lead-in to the Swan
Island Classic.
So come out and race on Sunday 12 May 2002. It should
be fun.
Cheers,
