I am doing a small research project at home and I was curious if anyone knew
where I might be able to find some sort of census data that specifies the
types of bikes that are purchased and ridden in the US (or even globally for
that matter).

For example: What is the % of road bikes vs. mtb vs. comfort bikes that are
purchased every year? Is one market segment bigger than another? Information
like this is what I am after. If you can point me in the right direction, I
should be able to take it from there.
