I tried racing those same tires without tubes on an xc course and had lots
of problems. I ended up putting tubes in them even though I hate tubes. So I
would just put tubes in them, especially considering you are 240 pounds.
They are great tires for mud. I don't know of any 26 inch tires quite like
those.
