Well, not exactly...........but now that I hooked you, I would like to make

some 'cross related announcements.



First, Club Vivo (that's us- the fine folk that bring you the 'Cross

Crusade) has been awarded two UCI Cyclocross races for the 2002 calendar

year. Both races will be on the National Racing Calendar (NRC) and,

therefore will be a part of the selection criteria for picking the National

team to represent the Stars and Stripes at the World Championships.



What does this mean for all of us (after all, only a few can contend for a

spot on the National team)?

Simple- MORE 'CROSS RACING!



The 2002 Local Cyclo-Cross Schedule looks like this:

10/06- Cross Crusade #1

10/13- Cross Crusade #2

10/19- Portland Int'l Cyclocross Classic- UCI (and, NRC)

10/20- Seattle UCI Race (and, NRC)- by our Seattle 'cross brethren

10/26 & 27 Johnson Farm Halloween Weekend 'Cross Festival

Cross Crusade #3 (2 days of racing- more info to come)   

11/03- Cross Crusade #4

11/10- Cross Crusade #5

11/17- Cross Crusade #6

11/24- Cross Crusade #7

11/30- Seattle UCI Race (and, NRC)- again, by the Seattle crew

12/01- Stumptown Cyclocross Classic- UCI (and, NRC)

Presented by Saturn

12/07- District/State Championships & Cross Crusade #8 Finale

12/13-15 U.S. National Championships, Domaine Chandon- Napa Valley
