Jeremy VanSchoonhoven update

I just got word from Jeremy, he is at the 24 Hours of Snowshoe, where the

5th stop of the North American Trials Series was held. This is the North

American Championship for trials. Jeremy was leading the series and only

needed to place in the top 4 to win the series. Jeremy won the comp and the

series.

Jeremy is having a blast this year and has been riding better than ever. He

has already made the US World Team and is looking forward to the World

Championships, this will be his fourth year in a row.

He has not lost to a single person from Canada or the US all year and can

hardly believe how well he has been doing. He has cut his training in half

and it really has helped. Much more intense with many more days for

recovery.

The next month he has booked a bunch of demos to help him make it to the

National Championships and the World Championships. As you know mountain

biking is currently paying their pros about as well as race promoters get

paid.

It should be interesting to see how many Oregon riders are on the US World

Team this year. Once again OBRA is shinning and the efforts being put in

right now will show results for years to come.

Jeremy is going to be doing a few demos in the Portland area in July and

hopes to see some of you then. He will be at the end of the STP ride and at

the Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge. The Alpenrose Velodrome Challenge is one

of his favorite events to do, I hope you come out and watch the racing, it

is a great experience. It is hard to believe we have an event like this

right here in Oregon!!!

I know Wendy sent out a thank-you note, but we wanted to add a few things.

Jeremy has been trying to send every one that donated money to him a copy

of his trials video. He has been on the go a lot and is afraid he has

missed sending out a few copies. He is all mixed up about which people he

has missed. So if you donated money to Jeremy and did not get a thank-you

note and a copy of his trials video please email us your address and he

will send you a copy.

We just got back from the !st NORBA Nationals down at Big Bear. Although

Observed Trials is not a series event, they still had a competition there.

Jeremy placed 2 in the Pro men's event on his stock bike. He was only 2

points out of !st place and his brakes were not working. He was very happy

with how he did! For those of you that helped him buy his Mod Bike, he

placed 3rd. He is trying to get the hang of the small bike, but he has a

long ways to go. Still both of the pro men that beat him are on the USA

World Team!!!

Thanks again for all your help and we hope to see everyone at some of the

Oregon events later this year.
