This last race was on the verge of cold, but the surface conditions were sublime! The dirt sections were PERFECT and the Sand was the best ever! Thanks.
Last year on the final Psycho race it was so cold! This year's USGP and Bend Nationals will provide a good prep. to finish off the season supporting a fine local series. For those of you who have not made it down to support the Psycho Cross Pseries and did not make the Willamette Valley Series, I urge you to give it a try. I know cross is fun no matter what the weather/surface conditions are and even if you are crammed inside a field of 75-200. It is fun. But....You know how sometime you feel like you are just another "BIG MAC" still on the hoof, being herded into the loading chutes? You might even feel like you are putting time in before being "ground up" or as the Clydes say.... Trample- Trample Trampled. But if you have never experienced what I have now labeled "Organic, Free Range Cyclocross, try to make the Psycho or Willamette Valley races. They are Free Range Racing! There is a room for a bunch more racers and it will still meet the free range criteria. I might add.... "what is a call up"? I bet the Bend and Southern Oregon Cross races are a blast as well.
Just something to think about if you are ever thinking about racing other than a "Crusade" race.
No. I am not on the Psycho or WVS payroll. I am a registered independent and just a rebel at heart who will be continue to be at every Cross Crusade ( I call it Festival Cross ) race unless unforeseen events keep me away. Ain't Cross great?
