Rogue Valley Mayors? Celebration
A multi-faceted community event for all the family based on "wheels' theme
and featuring closed-circuit criterium bicycle racing. The criterium bike
racing will be held on a closed course around a six-block area of downtown
Medford. This makes a great venue for spectators to watch all the
excitement and get close to the competitors.
Bring your BMX bike and try out the ramps alongside the pros from "Bike-It."
For the younger kids bring your bike and test your skills on the bicycle
safety rodeo course. Skateboard riders from all over can participate in a
skate-a-thon, and professional skateboarders will give skateboard
exhibitions.
In Alba Park over 50 booths will be there with food, drink, live music,
children's' activities and entertainment.
Proceeds from the event will benefit ACCESS Nutrition Programs. For more
information visit the event calendar at access-inc.org or call 779-6691.
NOTE: This event precedes the Cascade Classic to be held July 10-14 in Bend,
OR
Come spend the 4th of July weekend in the Rogue Valley, enjoy camping and
rafting on the Rogue, listen to 3-time Grammy musician Bruce Hornsby or rock
to party band B-52's at the Britt Music Festival. Take in a Shakespeare
play at the nationally recognized Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ashland.
Compete in the Rogue Valley Mayors? Cup and then travel on to Bend to
compete in the Cascade Classic.
