In the pdxcross pictorials there are a few shots of Andy and Brad working at
the event. Hauling equipment, sweeping stairs and many more mundane things.
It is not all glory but boy do we appreciate all that they do! Thank you to
all the organizers and volunteers.

I was just looking at the usac results for the 50-54 group and Rich Cramer
finishing 3rd was spectacular, but I noticed the finish times for the 4th,
5th (John Wilson) and 6th were just 4-5 seconds apart. That race had to be
super to watch. Chris Tauscher a respectable 14th as well. Had to have
been a very tough race with so many riders. Finishing middle of the pack in
these races (any of the age groups) may not make you an official champion,
but sure tells me you have the toughness to stick with it. All the local
Oregon and SW Washington riders are doing well. The course was laid out so
well and is apparently changing by the hour.. it offers great challenges to
the racers. Anyone finishing the races gets my cheers. The Bend people who
have put time into this need a huge thanks and Ross and crew have worked
their butts off. Andy W./ Doug M. deserve some type of martyrdom! When I
stalled out riding the run up on my last lap and broke off a stake, my first
thought was Andy. As I watched two riders go by ( I thought they were in
another cat, but were in mine), I just could not get out of my mind that
Andy would have to come up there and "re-drill" a hole for a new stake into
the frozen ground. You guys pulled off an amazing four days of racing (plus
the Clydes). A heartfelt thanks from this racer. Nobody threw beer at me.

just my view from my warm home.
