PROUD TO BE FROM OREGON!

Another amazing nationals in Bend has come and gone. I would like to thank the 10,000 fans that were cheering this past weekend. It was amazing! So many of my fellow competitors are still amazed, as it blew the pants off last year. If I had a dollar for every time someone said, "can't we have nationals here every year???" I have a certain sense of pride when people come up to me and tell me how awesome the event was and how cool Oregon is. And that all they could hear during the women's race was "come one Sue!!!". Thanks for cheering me to a podium spot. Now off to bigger and better things. And hopefully St. Wendel in January! Oregon rocks!!! Glad to be a part of OBRA!

Hello OBRA-land!
Racing CX in Oregon is simply the best. I was overwhelmed in Bend this past weekend for the National Championships. As were so many others from out of town. The positive comments from my fellow racers made me so proud to be from Oregon! I think they were in disbelief of the amount of fans. The starting chute of the race was better than a world cup! The comments from the women just made me smile. "Welcome to Oregon" was all I could think to say. We do love our cross!
I would like to thank the thousands of people out there that cheered me on! I had a very difficult race with breathing problems starting by the end of my first lap, but I could not quit. The fans were too amazing! As much as I love cross, I made the decision to end my season with Bend. I am already looking forward to next year and racing my way on to that podium!
Thanks OBRA! You all ROCK!!!
