If you’re undecided about joining a racing team or are unattached for 2010,
Team Oregon (http://www.teamoregon.org/) is still actively looking for new
members.
Team Oregon is one of the oldest and best-established amateur teams in the
state dating back to the late 1980s. We currently have a healthy roster of
approximately 60 racers across all categories and are continuing to grow.
While our primary member base is in the Portland area, we have numerous
riders in Salem, Eugene, and across the rest of the state. We pride
ourselves on being an open team that is welcoming of all rider backgrounds
and abilities. New members can join at any point during the year, but now is
a great time to make sure you’re set for racing season.
2010 looks to be an exciting season for the team with the expansion of an
elite Cat 1 men’s team, new major sponsors, and good turnouts for races in
all the major racing categories; it’s a great feeling to show up to a race
and know you’ll always have the support of teammates.
Joining is quick and easy. Dues are only $45 ($10 for Students or Juniors)
for the year. We’re about to submit a large kit order, so now is a great
time to join (http://www.teamoregon.org/aboutus/join
).
If you’re interested in finding out more about the team, please contact
President Jim Anderson (jim-anderson@comcast.net) or myself (
adam@adamedgerton.com), or show up to one of our Saturday team rides that
are open to all. The rides leave every Saturday at 9:30AM from Liberty High
School north of Hillsboro, and routes are posted on the team website (
http://www.teamoregon.org/) each week by Friday.
I hope to see you out there!
