They are likely back door OEM. It works like this:
Somebike company negotiates with the component maker to buy a number of
groups at a discount for the purpose of outfitting their bicycles.
Somebike company buys more than they need (poor planning or
intentionally). But as part of the agreement with the component
manufacturer Somebike company is not allowed to resell the components
and thereby undercut the distributors and retailers. So, Somebike
company then sells them anonymously through sites like eBay doing
exactly that.

I saw an ebay posting for a set of new centaur 10s levers. The price makes
me wonder if they're legit or not. These are the grey models that were
offered a few years ago so maybe that's the reason for the low price?

Or are they counterfeit? How much of that goes on?
