Spending a lot of time on the trainer this weekend had me thinking
about a couple things. One, I work for the government and get moved
around. My next move in 13 months is to one of the top 17 largest
cities in the country. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on
the cycling/cyclocross scene in places like LA, SF, San Diego,
Phoenix, Detroit, Chicago, Phili, New York, Newark, Miami, etc.
(Yeah, basically I'm screwed.)

Second question is a wheel set question. I bought a cyclocross bike
last fall (then had knee surgery and was only able to race the Eugene
Stage Race early). I was thinking before have to split P-town I'd
race the cyclocross season hard next year and was hoping to score a
set of lightweight wheels for 'cross. The Zipp 404s seem nice but
expensive. Any other suggestions?
