My two cents worth.......All Masters women should ride together. Everyone can register with the 3's since the rules have changed and we can do this now. The 3 field is smaller and probably safer than the 4.
I will register for the Master's race at 1pm. I wish everyone else would too so we could all ride together.

Subject: [OBRA Chat] Cherry Pie Masters Women Update
Hey folks,
I'd like to thank all the folks who've supplied feedback on the recent decisions surrounding the master women categories at Cherry Pie. After the recent (late Jan) OBRA request to add masters fields, we put in a 40+ and 50+ field for both the Women 4 and the Women 1/2/3. After OBRA allowed an exemption to the Masters Women for combining categories, we announced we would NOT be offering multiple Masters Women fields in different categories, and would again run them together in the W4's. We did this because turnout for these fields has traditionally been low at Cherry Pie, and figured it would enable the ladies to race together in a group large enough to get BAR points.
Well, that didn't sit well, so we're going to leave the event with 2 sets of Masters Women fields.
We will continue to offer 40+ and 50+ masters women fields racing with the 4s AND 1/2/3.
If you are a Master 4, you will race 1 lap with the Senior 4 women at 10:25.
If you are a Master 1/2/3, you will race 2 laps with the Senior 1/2/3 women at 1pm.
We will prize these fields together, but will score them separately if there are 5 or more.
As a point of reference, these fields had the following participation in the past:
2009 - Masters Women 40+==8, Masters Women 50+==4
Women 3 (all) = 11 in 2009, 9 in 2008. (don't know how many were masters without digging further).
Hopefully, these category offerings will work for the Masters Women and we hope to see you Saturday! Online registration is open until noon tomorrow.
Regards,
Jim Fischer
