Hi OBRAland,
I am looking for a road clincher with the following priorities in mind, ESPECIALLY the first one: (yeah, I know, that's why it's first priority... but I cannot stress it enough.)
1) Relatively easy to remove with bare hands from standard rim (for instance, Open Pro or Ksyrium). No tight beads, please. I hate using levers, and while my grip is decent, I'm no circus act, i.e., "ya, I love Michelins and just use my bare hands on 'em."
2) Good balance of durability and ridability/traction: not so light it punctures if I so much as think about glass, not so heavy it can withstand a hit from a depleted-uranium round. Think 75% toward "race" on the race-->bulletproof spectrum.
3) Reasonable price, say $35-$50 per tire
I had a set I liked, but can't recall if they were hutchinsons or contis. They definitely were not michelins, which while being great performing tires were much too tight-fitting for what I seek in this application.
Thanks for your input!
