TOUR DE FRANCE E-TIMES DEBUTS
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Veteran journalist James Raia began publishing the
free electronic newsletter, Tour de France E-Times, on June 1, 2002.
Raia, who has reported on cycling-related topics for more than 20 years,
will be attending the Tour de France, one of the world?s most prestigious
sporting events, for the sixth consecutive year.
The event, which will feature three-time consecutive titlist Lance
Armstrong
and nearly 200 other international professional athletes, will begin July 6
in Luxembourg and continue through July 28 in Paris.
The newsletter, which will be distributed via e-mail, will be published
daily during the event and periodically, as determined appropriate, before
and after the event. The newsletter will also be available on the
publisher?s web site: http://www.byjamesraia.com
The Tour de France Times will include all the information fit to e-mail:
breaking news, features, rider interviews, opinion and all the sights and
sounds from the great race.
In addition to daily stage summaries, all U.S. riders? stage and overall
results will be included.
More U.S. riders are expected to compete in the 2002 event than have
participated in any previous race edition.
Raia, an independent journalist based in Sacramento, California, is also
