This is nothing new. Many of the possible outcomes have been predicted in Sci-fi books and movies. The negative outcome is Gattaca. The positive outcome is Star Trek NTG. For better or for worse gene therapy or gene doping is here to stay and probably more prevalent those most of us think or want to believe.
