Scappoose is not closed. It was closed earlier in the year for fire danger,
it has been reopened for a while. They are planning logging on the north
side are where there are trails, and have blue marked many areas for
logging. Reports are that they have started logging at the very top of
Rocky Point Road, but have not yet started logging closer to the trails on
the north side. Go have fun, and make sure that if you see equipment or any
postings or open gates where the landowners are actively logging, steer
clear to respect their wishes to stay out of active work zones.

P.s. We may be having a representative at next months Northwest Trail
Alliance Tuesday Social in march. He may be able to answer questions
regarding the future of the area.
