I've built up my replacement bike for shor-track and 'cross. It's a Redline Monocog with some parts upgrades. It's STILL about a pound heavier than my previous bike (which was too small for me). I love the way this taller, shorter-wheelbase bike rides, but want to see if O can shave off a few more ounces.
I am looking for suggestions for upgrades to the stock wheels, which are merely decent and probably heavier than I'd like.
Details:
--no less than 32 spokes (I'd consider 36 if it's light)
--dedicated singlespeed cassette hub/spacing; does NOT need to be disc-compatible
--26"/559 clincher, machined rims for cantilever brakes
--can't afford tubeless so don't even mention it
I'd welcome suggestions for hubs, rims or complete wheels fitting the above criteriae. I can rebuild myself if the right parts come together. Thanks for your ideas. --Beth
