Hey Jordan, I have been to two Echo Red 2 Red races and if you're into
camping there's a wide setup at the trailhead. Echo itself didn't have
lodging last time I was there but Hermiston is pretty close and you can
find a place there or right off 84. Echo itself is right off 84 and the
land the race is on is privately owned by a gentleman named Lloyd. He's
the owner of the Sno Road Winery in Echo and I bet he would have some tips
for you if you call him up. Let me know if you need anything else. This
is a great race to begin the year and I highly recommend coming out Friday
evening and staying until Sunday. Camp if you are good with that. The
site usually has lots of people, a bonfire and usually a keg. Good times.

I want do this race this year, but I don't see an active website with
details. I want to plan lodging and travel. Does any one have some more
details or a website I check out? All I see on the calendar is the the date
is set for March 3rd.

Thanks

Jordan

Sounds a lot like the 20+ miles of new trail we'll be building in the
next two seasons at Wanoga!

My teammate Rich, a track racer, was so impressed with how supportive everyone was and how the last rider got a standing ovation. Congratulations to Brian and crew for a great race, now the rest of us need to keep up the standard.

If we want Msuntain Biking to continue to grow and get juniors to race we need more races like Echo Red to Red. Lots of single track, = lots of fun. It is not enough to just put jr categories in the race, we also have to build trails and have coursed that make this sport so fun. Thanks to all the people involved in the Echo Red to Red race today. It was a textbook example of how to put on a good race: Fun course, well marked, great organization. Great work.
