Candi Murray/Oregon Bicycle Racing Assn
Since there is another stage race in a week I thought I'd add
Some things that made it made more difficult this weekend from an officials
view point.
Number placement - I know that they are big, but DO NOT CUT AND FOLD these
numbers We have to place every single person in a stage race and when we
cannot see your number it makes it so much harder Also put them where they
are suppose to go DO NOT put them where you damn well want them, put them
WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO GO! We spent every evening this weekend trying
to find out who certain riders were I looked up the obra rule this weekend
and the penalty for not having a readable number is to not place you in the
stage That would mean you are done, dnf'd kaput take heed here!
Urine - It's been said over and over again I know you have to go but this
weekend we had a couple of occasions of
1. Crossing the centerline to urinate on the left side of the road
2. Peeing on the access road with oncoming traffic fro HWY 84 whizzing
(excuse the pun) by
3. Mass Urination in front of the kids at the cow drive was probably not a
good idea especially when one identified herself as a girl
Trash - We are in the middle of pristine country and you are throwing your
wrappers, bottles and even aluminum cans to the side of the road. For gawds
sake pack it out I know you all watch the pros on OLN, but this is Oregon
(Things look different here - state motto) The pros may throw things on the
grow, just because you throw things on the ground does not make you a pro
so knock it off!
I can't begin to tell you the complaints from the citizens of whose
countryside we are using about the litter you all throw
Please hear these comments and do something about it! Don't do it yourself.
Don't put up with it from your riding mates either It would be a shame to
lose these courses
Just my 2 cents
