Kids getting on Bicycles

Dear Future of Oregon Cycling, Development Minded cycling friends,

Here it is, a real opportunity to get Oregon Youth on their bicycles.

I have 80-100 youth coming out to ride this summer.

Alternating week to week from elementary age, to middle schoolers, to high

schoolers.

We will teach them some track racing on a soccer field then some BTA

commuting techniques. Then we will go on field trips to OMSI, Dishman

Community Center, Portland Art Museum, and more.

We need people to commit to one day per week (Mon.- Fri.) from 1PM-4:30PM

and ride along.

We need mechanics to work in June or day to day at park side.

We need car support volunteered when we ride on the rode. We will ride 2

days per week on the road.

We need clip board carriers, ideally with their own cell phone, any time for

any duration.

Sometimes people talk about how we need to get more youth into cycling.

I hope all of them join us this year in Unthank Park.

It will be a lot of fun.

Thank You for your support.
