Hey Everyone,

A few questions have come up from my friends down south regarding the OBRA
and USA Cycling reciprocity agreement. I've confirmed with USA Cycling and
OBRA that the 2010 agreement was signed by both organizations in early March
to making racing between our groups easier.

If you plan on racing IVRR next Saturday you will be able to race your
respective OBRA category. Those that currently hold a OBRA Cat 3, Cat 4, or
Cat 5 license will need to purchase a 1 day USA Cycling license while those
that have a OBRA Cat 1 or Cat 2 license will need to purchase an annual USA
Cycling license to race.

Below are the race details. We have a lot of great things happening at the
race like individual fields for the Cat 1/2 women, Cat 3 women, and Cat 4
women. We also have 3 separate master fields, one of which is specifically
for the Master 50+ any category.

Registration is quickly filling up in the Master 30+ Cat 4/5, Cat 5 Men, and
Cat 4 women fields. We plan on opening a waiting list for each group once
registration fills up and will make a decision on adding additional fields
to the schedule on Thursday March 25th.

I hope to see everyone at the race.

Thanks,

Erik

Hey Everyone,

The 5th Annual Team Group Health Independence Valley Road Race (IVRR) is
March 27nd in Rochester WA. The course is 19.5 mile loop with a couple of
hills that take you from valley to valley, has some great rolling hills, and
fast twisty farmland. Rumor has it that this will be one of the hardest one
day classics in WA and being 90 minutes away from Seattle and Portland
bragging rights are on the line.

This year we are offering individual fields for the Cat 1/2 women, Cat 3
women, and Cat 4 women. So ladies we hope to see you at the race. We are
also splitting the Master 30+ Cat 4/5 & 50+ any category field (formerly
Master C/D). Those two fields have become the Master 30+ Cat 4/5 and Master
50+ any category.

Online registration is open through BikeReg.com. I encourage the Cat 5 Men,
Cat 4 women, Master 30+ Cat 4/5, and Master 50+ any age categories to sign
up early due to field size restrictions and the fact these fields
historically fill up at this event.

Below is the link to the race details, online registration, and course map.

Parking may become limited and carpooling is strongly recommended. If
parking is full at Swede Hall you can park close to town, at the Rochester
High School, or Thurston County Community Center at Albany ST Ave SW and
183rd Ave SW. NO PARKING at the Rochester Fire Station. Also, if you need
to setup a tent park at Thurston County Community Center or Rochester High
School because space is limited.

I hope to see everyone at the race.

Thanks,

Erik

Hey Cat 5 Men, Cat 4 Ladies, and Master 30+ 4/5

The last two weekends your fields have quickly gone past the field limit
sizes. If you plan on racing Independence Valley on Saturday March
27thplease register online soon so we can make the right adjustements
before
race day. I would prefer to adjust the race schedule and communicate the
change to everyone that is racing a few days in advance so people can plan
ahead and give me a chance to secure additional resources to support the
event. With a little help from you and planning we can make sure everyone
has a great race day experience.

Thanks,

Erik

PS – I will open up the waiting lists once your respective fields sell out
so we can see if there is a need to add additional fields.
