Kurt Kinetic Rock & Roll Trainer
RETAIL: $559.99 PACKAGE, with extras, for $375
This is an amazing piece of hardware,
and something I'd really rather sell locally than to have to ship.
Trainer has seen little use and is in excellent shape. This is
perhaps the most realistic trainer anywhere, both because of Kurt
Kinetic's best in industry resistance unit and the Rock & Roll's
unique ability to allow you to move laterally on the trainer. I've
talked to a group of riders in Minnesota who get together and do
“indoor centuries” on these trainers during the winter (sick, I
know).
Will include a training mat that you
can take apart, jigsaw puzzle style, for storage. Will also include
the Turntable Riser Ring ($40 Retail) that allows the front wheel to
turn side to side during the workout, awesome for your full-on, out
of saddle efforts. The Riser Ring is functionally great, cosmetically
a little rough. Actual trainer is in excellent condition, both
mechanically and cosmetically.
$375 takes the whole package!
From
Kurt Kinetic website:
“Take
realism and your workout to a whole new level with the only trainer
that delivers natural side-to-side motion. With this unique, lateral
motion, core muscles are engaged to maintain balance. So now you can
simultaneously workout both technique and power— especially during
out-of-the-saddle hill climb intervals. Get on. Give your
expectations a workout.”
Turntable
Riser Ring RETAIL: $39.99
“The turntable riser is an absolute necessity for the Rock and Roll
Trainer. It is designed to meet the needs of riders who want a level
bike when they train. The Riser Ring is adjustable to four
heights to simulate flat roads on almost any bike. Sits under front
tires for a stable ride, no matter how hard or long the workout, with
the addition of a swivel base allowing the front wheel to move freely
and help a rider perfect his technique.”
I also have the Kurt Kinetic Wired
Power Computer available, which has only been used a couple of
times.
Retail is $80, yours for $50 more. Info available here:

Rotor Q Rings 135mm BCD for Campagnolo
UltraTorque, Fulcrum, and Campagnolo square taper cranksets 53x40
Brand New, still in the packaging.
Retail: $265 Asking $185
From the Rotor Q Rings website
[http://www.rotorbikeusa.com/qrings_standard.html], “Q-Rings
increase your power by emulating a Rotor System crankset in the power
stroke and by minimizing the intensity of the "dead spot"
zones. By extending the time you spend in the power stroke (where 90%
of all power is produced) and smoothly accelerating the legs through
the critically weak "dead spots". A 53T Q-Ring, around the
upper dead-spot is equivalent to a 51T, but as the pedal goes down
and more strength is applied, the equivalent chainring tooth size
reaches 56T.”
The 40 works in a similar fashion, with
about a 42-tooth equivalent in the power zone and a 38-tooth
equivalent to get you more quickly through your pedal stroke deadspots.
