To everyone who wants to give back and grow the sport, here is your good

chance.

Kids on Bikes

June 20, and July 8 through August 2nd.



Kids on Bikes is a circle in a field that kids race around. "you tell 'em go

and they make the show."

After they get good, then we take them on the road for a field trip; Dishman

Community Center, OMSI, Portland Art Museum, etc.



This is an excellent opportunity to work with kids and get them into

cycling. Portland's Kids on Bikes is the premier opportunity in the Nation

to reach out for the faces missing from American Cycling. Grab up a kid and

put him on your team.



This is an urgent request for volunteers for

July 8th through August 2? In the afternoon from 1:30-4:30.





NOTE: A mandatory volunteer meeting at SEI

Thursday, June the 20 at 1:30PM.

So far, only 3 men have signed on from our appeals to OB-@TOPICA. Women?

Where is everybody? Come on folks, this day camp is going to be great.

Ask for a day off. Every little piece you take adds up.

To sign up for even one day would be helpful.





We need car drivers, ideally with cell phones. Cyclists who can ride and

don't mind staying outside the fun place to watch the bikes.

We need helmet fitters, and bike mechanics.

We need on site clipboard administrators, and messengers to pick up lunch.

We need mechanics to come by in the evenings before the event to repair

bicycles.



We will work with about 60 kids this year. Smaller groups traveling on the

road to cool places.

It is going to be a lot of fun.
