A little off topic (I need better wheels) but, I have for sale or trade 1997 Martin Guitar, Special Edition SP000 16T. This is an OM body shape, gloss finish, gold hardware, Solid Engelmann Spruce top with “vintage toner” (medium honey color), Solid Mahogany back and sides. There is Abalone inlay around the sound hole, in the neck (snow flake design) and in the bridge. On the back separating the book-matched mahogany panels is an intricate inlay (45 style).

The 000/OM body style produce a more balanced sound with more emphasis on treble and midrange. This guitar is well suited for the finger picking and single-note playing style. Think, Eric Clapton’s Layla and John Mayer. This is the same body size and style that John Mayer plays, although his model has Rosewood back and sides, and minus the $4,100.00 price tag. I have the original papers and warranty info still. Original price tag was $1800.00. This guitar has hardly been played, has new strings, comes with a CORG electronic tuner #CA20, professional string winder/cutter, black Kyser capo, and Martin hard shell case. I will get pictures to those interested.

I am asking $700.00 for OBRA members. Will be posting for $900.00 on Ebay. I may accept a trade for a light weight set of 700c Wheels with Campy freewheel (10spd), that are lightly used/new-ish. Getting tired of racing on 2000g wheels! I just don’t have the cash to buy right now. Let me know what you have if you're interested. Thanks for looking.

OOO (also OM)
Total Length 39 13/16"   39 5/8"
Body Length 19 3/8"   20 9/16"
Body Width 15"   15"
Body Depth 4 1/8"   4 1/8"

GENUINE MAHOGANY
SWIETENIA MACROPHYLLA
Much lighter in weight than rosewood, koa or maple. Yields a surprisingly strong, loud sound with an emphasis on clear, bright airy trebles.

ENGELMANN SPRUCE
Picea EngelmannII
Prized for its similarity in color to European (German) white spruce
as well as its extreme lightness in weight which seems to produce a slightly louder, more projective or “open” sound than
Sitkaspruce.
