Hey all,
here's the deal. I'm refurbing an old mountain bike and need a front
brake cable hanger. It has a short steerer so mounting a conventional
cable hanger between the adjustable cup and locknut leaves only 3mm
of steerer left to thread the locknut onto.
The fork crown is not drilled so I can't mount a cable hanger there.
I'm wondering if there are any hangers that will fit neatly around
the quill of the stem (22.2mm dia.) and rest on TOP of the locknut.
Modern hangers for threadless steerers look like they'd be nice since
they clamp on, but their clamp is for 25.4mm diameter.
Any ideas/hacks/etc?
Thanks!
Brian J.
