When I am in Eugene, I have to ride from my hotel door. Sometimes I get on River Rd. and ride north, away from town. There are about 5 mi of traffic, then a flat stretch, then some rolling hills in the country. That gets my training ride done.
There are many better places to ride, but those would require directions. I would rather ride than read directions.
