Mt. Hood Cycling Classic

Just a quick reminder that next week is the Cherry Blossom Cycling Classic and that today is the last day to register without a late fee. All the info and links to registration can be found at http://www.cherryblossomclassic.com/registration/

We have an awesome event lined up for his year with two amazing road races. Check out some of cool new things for this year's event.

* Debut of the new of the Orchard Run Circuit Race which is a rolling course through miles of cherry orchards that will all be in full bloom. No time cuts so those who get shelled will still have the opportunity to ride through some spectacular scenery.

* Masters racers local shop Salmon Cyclery has offered up a pair of Zipp 404 Tubulars for the winner of that category.

* The event this year is run in conjuction with the Northwest Cherry Festival the largest festival in the Gorge. There will be a parade, kids activities, open air market, and one big expo for the downtown criterium on Sunday. Plus 5-10K run for those who have family members not racing on Saturday.

* Local wines and breweries will be on display and sampling throughout the event. Be sure and check them out.

* Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors we have over $10,000 in cash and prizes on the line.

The community of The Dalles is super excited about the event and looking forward to extending a hearty welcome to all the racers. Be sure to check out the website in the next couple of days for new photos and information on the course. See you at the starting line!
